Gingrich, Raymond

Dr. Raymond E. Gingrich (1905-1995) pastored three Grace Brethren churches in Ohio and served as president of Akron Bible Institute and Cornus Hill Bible College. In 1962, he moved to Texas, where he held the positions of academic vice president and professor of Bible at LeTourneau College. While in Texas, he led in establishing the Grace Brethren Church in Longview and continued as pastor there after retiring from the college staff and faculty.

Among the distinctions conferred upon Dr. Gingrich are listing in Who’s Who in Religion on the Midwest, Who’s Who in Education in America and Who’s Who in Religion in America. He was invited in 1957 to speak at the Seventh Youth Congress, sponsored by Youth for Christ, International, in Copenhagen, Denmark, and led evangelistic services in Denmark after congress closed.
